We are delighted to formally announce that Controls 4 Steam have been appointed UK agents for Aquanet International’s range of “Automatic Boiler Feedwater Management” systems.

Aquanet’s Boiler Feedwater Management Systems (BFMS) are fully automatic, microprocessor based, chemical dosing systems complete with self diagnostic electronics offering continuous and consistent feedwater quality control.

In brief, the AQ300 system, suitable for up to 3 boilers, independently samples water optionally from the feed pump discharge and each boiler in sequence, cooling the sample, testing the pH, conductivity and determining the dissolved oxygen levels. Based on the results the control system fine tunes the chemical dosing pumps and adjusts the surface blowdown rate to maintain the correct chemical and TDS levels in accordance with the recommendations of BS2486 and the boiler manufacturer thus ensuring the boiler is fully protected.

Being a standalone unit, installation is relatively simple and carried out on new projects after the boilers have been installed, or easily retrofitted on existing installations. There are only two connections on each boiler, the sample line attached to the TDS valve and the chemical dosing on the feed line. A water meter on the common feed water line and a temperature probe at the outlet of the hotwell completes the connections. AQ300 Series BFMS
